In May 2020, I secured a position with Lake Norman Currents magazine, working as an editorial intern. Within this role, I interviewed subjects and wrote articles, assisted in the editing and proofing process and captured photographs for upcoming articles / issues.

Upon beginning my internship with Lake Norman Currents Magazine in May 2020, I extended my role by writing for Current's second magazine, Limitless, Lake Norman’s first and only lifestyle magazine catered to active adults aged 55+ "who place no limits on living their best life!"
In April, 2020, I began working with Lake Norman Woman magazine as a freelance writer / unpaid intern, in which I have been interviewing individuals and creating content for the upcoming summer issues.

Hey, I'm Emily! I am a graduate of Elon University, with three years of professional experience working as an SEO Specialist. With two Bachelor's of Arts degrees in strategic communications and communication design, in addition to a minor in creative writing, I possess a wide range of experiences and interest in many corners of communications and marketing. I am a data nerd, an extrovert, a dog lover, a wordsmith, and a bibliophile. Above all, I am a lifelong learner and eager to see where my next opportunity will take me.
